Housam Taleb Ya'coub
Unit:
910

On 21st March 2013, the court in Cyprus convicted Housam Taleb Ya'coub, a Lebanese with a Swedish passport who admitted to being a member of Hezbollah's Unit 910. Ya'coub admitted that he underwent training in Lebanon by the unit and was sent to collect operational intelligence on tourist sites for an attack in Cyprus.

He admitted that he had collected operational intelligence on the Israeli airline Arkia, on departing and arriving tourists at Larnaca airport, and on hotels in Cyprus. He admitted that he had carried out tasks for the organization in Turkey, the Netherlands, and France. This is another example of Hezbollah's transcontinental terror activity and an additional reminder of the fact that Hezbollah does not hesitate to attack innocent civilians in various countries around the world.

Ya'coub is currently serving a 4 years prison sentence in cypriots jails.

The targets on which Housam Ya'coub collected operational intelligence are very similar to the ones Hezbollah attacked on 18 July in Burgas, Bulgaria.

We continue to call upon the Lebanese public to send information on these and other operatives in order to stop Hezbollah's ESO.
